Our house on the main street of Europe

For centuries have wide fields of West Backa District with its great expanse of Pannonian water provided habitation for the first farmers of Odzaci municipality. Baroque bell towers still touch the sky and the tapestry of life is made of hemp woven fabric. With its neighboring municipalities - Sombor, Apatin, Bac and Backa Palanka, Odzaci municipality makes a part of Western Backa Danube region.

The Danube is one of the main factors of geographic position of Odzaci and therefore has for centuries been an inspiration to the people of this region. That is why we proudly point out that Odzaci, with its whole municipality, is our house on the "main street of Europe". This street connects numerous nations, cultures and traditions. Odzaci significantly contributes to the mosaic of these values. Great expanse of still plain rivers, graceful Baroque churches of Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant and multi-ethnic cultures, are reflecting the contours of this region.
